BBB is ecstatic and  proud to announce our collaboration with Turn Signal. Turn Signal is an on-demand, real-time service that provides 24/7 legal guidance from an attorney to drivers while their camera records the interaction. When drivers are stopped by law enforcement officers or involved in a car accident, they can access live video chat with an attorney at the press of a button or voice command. The Turn Signal app along with the BBB training , will empower our youth with the tools and knowledge necessary to help everyone get home safe.

If you're in your car

  1. Present your driver's license, registration and proof of insurance

  2. You have the right not to consent to a search of your vehicle.

  3. If the police state they have probable cause, they may begin to search your car without your consent. Do not interfere but clearly state your lack of consent.

  4. If you are given a ticket, sign it. You can fight  in court later.

If you're on the street

  1. You are not required to answer any questions but failing to  answer simple ones will make the police suspicious.

  2. If requested, show your identification.

  3. You are not required to consent to a search.

  4. If police have reasonable suspicion that you have a weapon or illegal substance, they may do a "pat-down" to check. Don't resist.

  5. If you feel you have been unlawfully detained, Use your cell phone to record/photograph the interaction.
